Colorado Ghost Town Photography - Garfield, Colorado

November 15, 2016Posted by Webmaster

Garfield was formed in 1880 as Junction City, at the location of two road junctions. Most of the town burned down, but a few buildings and foundation type areas remain. Most of the location now is called Monarch this or Monarch that, but this is not the Monarch townsite. This small town now thrives on supporting the Monarch ski resort.
